Ashley co-founded East City Films in 2006 and runs the business – overseeing finance, strategy, commercial partnerships, and delivery across the company’s slate.
As Executive Producer, he has led ECF’s immersive projects from financing through to international touring. He has secured production funding from the BFI and Arts Council England, structured co-productions with international partners, and built the operational model that allows ECF’s work to tour across festival, museum, and exhibition venues in the UK and internationally.
Projects he has executive-produced include In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats, Common Ground, Indefinite, Witness 360: 7/7, and three VR experiences commissioned by the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. ECF’s work has shown at Venice, Tribeca, SXSW, Sheffield Doc/Fest, and IDFA, and toured to major cultural institutions across the UK and the US.
Before moving into immersive media in 2014, Ashley produced television, music, and branded content for MTV, Island Records, Columbia, Coca-Cola, Lexus, and Sony.
