Micaela Blitz is a producer and journalist with extensive experience in VR production, broadcast, documentaries, branded content, and live events. With a career spanning over 15 years, she has worked with major broadcasters, including the BBC, Channel 4, and Netflix, as well as across a diverse range of storytelling mediums.
Micaela’s documentary work includes the award-winning Children of the Snow Land, which follows a group of children from the High Himalayas of Nepal as they leave their remote mountain villages to seek an education in Kathmandu. In addition to her production expertise, she has contributed to various online and print publications, bringing her journalistic perspective to the stories she helps bring to life.
Most recently, Micaela produced A Journey Back in collaboration with East City Films and the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. This immersive VR project combines personal testimony with animation to share the powerful stories of three Holocaust survivors. The project premiered at the Venice Film Festival and went on to screen at the London Film Festival, SXSW, and numerous other international festivals.
At East City Films, Micaela is currently project managing the UK tour of In Pursuit of Repetitive Beats, ensuring audiences across the country experience the groundbreaking immersive production.
