The Journey Back Wins Social Impact Award at XR Awards 2024

We are thrilled to announce that our project, The Journey Back, has been honoured with the Social Impact Award at the 8th International AIXR XR Awards held in Rotterdam on 5 December 2024. This recognition underscores the profound impact of immersive storytelling in preserving and sharing vital historical narratives.
The Journey Back is a trilogy of virtual reality films—Letters From Drancy, Walk To Westerbork, and Escape To Shanghai—created in collaboration with the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center. Each film offers an intimate journey alongside Holocaust survivors Marion Deichmann, Rodi Glass, and Doris Fogel, bringing their personal stories to life through immersive technology.
This accolade marks the second consecutive year we’ve been recognised at the XR Awards, following our win in the Location-Based Entertainment category last year for In Pursuit Of Repetitive Beats. We are immensely proud of our team’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of immersive media and are grateful for the continued support of our partners and audiences.
The Journey Back is available for licensing by museums and art institutions, offering a powerful tool for education and remembrance. We invite organisations interested in this transformative experience to reach out for more information.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey. We remain committed to creating impactful content that educates, inspires, and fosters empathy through the power of virtual reality.
