Common Ground goes live on Museum of Other Realities
COMMON GROUND BREAKS GROUND AT MUSEUM OF OTHER REALITIES
We are delighted to announce that Common Ground has been selected as one of the first pieces of VR to be showcased as part of the Immersive Arcade: The Showcase.
Immersive Arcade: The Showcase is the first national collection of the best of British virtual reality (VR) and 360 experiences. The showcase is designed to reimagine these celebrated productions and immerse visitors within them. The collection is themed around an exploration of the human mind.
This dynamic collection draws together eclectic productions from across documentary, experiential and narrative genres, themed around an exploration of the human mind.

I’m particularly excited that new audiences will be able to find the work in a truly imaginative and evocative setting within the Museum of Other Realities. Common Ground deals with the regeneration of the Aylesbury Estate and the effect of its demolition on the community that lives there, and it is fascinating to me that as the estate is slowly disappearing in the physical world that remnants of it now exist in the virtual world.”

To access the experience, simply download the Museum of Other Realities application below through Steam or Viveport below and follow the steps.
The showcase can be experienced through a tethered VR headset; including the Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality, Valve Index and HTC Vive.
The project is delivered by Digital Catapult and will be hosted on Digital Catapult’s partner platform, The Museum of Other Realities.
The project has been commissioned by UKRI, as part of the ‘Audience of the Future’ challenge.
